Molly's Guide to Printing Tennis Apparel

Missed it? Last week, Molly went live to share why summer sports could be a game-changer for your heat press business.

Printing orders for local sports clubs and teams is a great way to expand your customer base as a garment decorator. With over 5,200 tennis clubs in the UK, and a 44% increase in annual participation. There is a great opportunity within this sport for decorators all over the UK. And with summer tennis events around the corner, where better to start! But to be successful in printing sports apparel, you need to understand how to print on a variety of garments, accessories, and materials. From cotton polos to polyester performance tees. Even caps and skorts.

This week's LIVE is your all-in-one guide to printing the full range of garments used in tennis apparel.

Check out Molly's Top Tips below:

Pillows For Pressure

Sports garments often feature varied fabrics and functional elements like pockets. Making it challenging to isolate a smooth, flat area for heat transfer application.

Using a heat press pillow helps these raised seams and thick areas sink below the print surface, ensuring even pressure and consistent results every time

Air Powered Pressure

The most efficient way to print on various types of tennis apparel is by using an air-powered heat press. Molly selected the Hotronix Air Fusion IQ for its automatic pressure adjustment feature, which ensures consistent results across different garments.
