The History of Heat Press Manufacturing and Innovation

This week on the Garment Decorators Podcast, Andy and Molly are joined by Shauna Soom, Director of Global Sales and Support at Hotronix. Shauna talks to us about how the world's #1 heat press brand was created and how Hotronix continues to innovate today, helping garment decorators all over the world start, run, and grow profitable businesses.

One consistent theme that is eloquently presented throughout this podcast by Shauna is Hotronix's innovation over the years. Shauna mentions the start of Stahls' in the 1930's and how there was a gap in the market for a consistent and reliable heat press. Many presses on the market at that time would offer cold spots so Stahls' innovated and created the micro-wound platen with edge-to-edge heat. She goes on to discuss the birth of over-centre pressure as well as more modern solutions like laser and projection alignment.
